Although the name change was still in process in Register, our new Club d’Esgrima Sant Cugat was already present in women’s foil Catalonia Championship in the equipment of fencers. The Championship was held in Amposta on sunday July 4th and results were very positive for the club, with a gold medal by Bàrbara Ojeda and a bronze medal by Marina Ojeda, who still participated as part of Club d’Esgrima Barcelona. A very good meadl option was lost when Cristina García Mendicino could not attend the championship because of Covid-19. For sure that these good results are a good sample of the club potential for next season 2021-2022.
